Project Evaluations
Evaluation is an extremely important part of an experimental or iterative process like ours.
RECOVER is on a learning journey about what it means to be well in Edmonton -- and how we can improve the conditions so that everyone in this city can be well. RECOVER is a Social R & D (Research & Development) project. In this sort of experimental work, RECOVER needs real-time feedback to help create or adapt an innovation. That's where evaluation comes in. RECOVER has a Developmental Evaluation Framework, which is helping us learn about what we are doing and creating.
We have a number of formal and informal methodologies and practices we use as part of our Developmental Evaluation Framework, including capturing data, writing reports, and having team members engaging in reflective practices.
Our written reports are shared below.
In 2018, 2019 and 2020, our evaluation work mostly focused on learning about RECOVER's prototypes and our process. In 2021, our evaluation work will focus on RECOVER's Post-Secondary Strategy, the Catalyst Team, and an exploration about how we might start to measure wellbeing in Edmonton. We'll keep you posted on what we learn here.
