2022 Prototypes

In 2022, RECOVER Urban Wellbeing is supporting six prototypes. Four of these are continuing and evolving from earlier years; two are new. We are now focusing on a smaller number because we realize that we get better outcomes if we dig deep and spend more time on prototypes that look promising.

Most of the prototypes are "owned" by external stakeholders. The prototype teams are each made up of different members, some of which are community members, some from partner agencies. RECOVER Catalyst Group members continue to support some of them.

Soloss

It is about holding space for individuals to make meaning from loss, to connect with others who have experienced loss, and for grief to be recognized in the places we live.

Auricle

It is about measuring wellbeing in a new way and de-colonizing data, by rebalancing data as story, data as learning, and data as relationships.

The Gallery

It is about nurturing healthy reciprocal relationships between members of the downtown business community and street-involved people, and it explores the role of a sidewalk space in doing so.

The Expanded Gallery - The “Connect Studio”

It is about creating a cultural and arts space in Edmonton City Centre and experimenting with ways to strengthen connections to culture, the human project, as well as to community, most especially nurturing relationships across difference.

Expectant

It is about finding a way to connect with, and provide support for those people who don’t have a supportive network of people around them as they make the transition into parenthood.

City Hall Safety

It is about nurturing feelings of connection, safety and wellbeing for people at City Hall.
